The Tempest – Shakespeare In The Park – Directed by Darian Nelson (June 2012)
Shakespeare in the Park, jointly produced by Bath Drama and The Rondo Theatre Company, return for another feast of Shakespeare in the open air. This magical story of a spirit filled island, a magician’s revenge and new found love will be presented amid the beautiful flora and fauna of the botanical gardens. With colourful period costumes and plenty of visual humour, Shakespeare in the Park promises an enchanting evening suitable for all ages. As in previous years all profits are donated to a local charity and this year the nominated charity is Dorothy House Hospice, which provides care for people affected by life threatening illnesses, free of charge. Tickets, priced £7 and £5 for under 16s, are only available on the gate which opens at 6pm for picnics. Seating, Toilets and refreshments are available and the performances start at 7pm prompt. There will also be a matinee performance on Sat 30th June with gates open at 2pm for a 3pm start. Come and enjoy a traditional British activity, laugh, gasp and support a worthy cause at the same time.
