The Rondo Theatre Company are holding auditions for the premier production of John Hodge's new play, 'Flatpack'.
|
|
This is an opportunity to be involved in the first production of a new play written by BAFTA and Olivier award winning writer, John Hodge, known for writing the screenplays for Trainspotting, Shallow Grave and The Beach.
|
|
To be produced by The Rondo Theatre Company and directed by Matt Nation.
|
Performances will take place at the Rondo Theatre in Bath 26th - 29th March 2025.

Hannah and David are a happily married couple in their mid thirties, busy house-hunting in a difficult market.
|
|
A note through the door, with a very simple, short and to the point message: "David Green, you are going to die in 3 months time." And with the arrival of that note, their world unravels... Who wrote it? Why? What does it all mean???
|
With a cast of enthusiastic estate agents, philosophical detectives, greedy doctors and morally bankrupt kitchen designers, you can be sure that nothing is what it seems in this surreal comedy of life, death and DIY.

Open auditions - all over 18s are welcome.

Auditions will take place at the Rondo Theatre on Sunday 17th November at 3pm and Monday 18th November at 7pm.

No preparation is required.

Fading Southern Belle, Blanche DuBois, depends on the kindness of strangers and is adrift in the world. When she arrives to stay with her sister Stella in a crowded, boisterous corner of New Orleans, her delusions of grandeur bring her into conflict with Stella’s crude, brutish husband Stanley. Eventually their violent collision course causes Blanche’s fragile sense of identity to crumble, threatening to destroy her sanity and her one chance of happiness.

Williams’ steamy and shocking landmark drama is one of the most influential plays of the 21st Century. This production will delve into the psyche of the two women that orbit each other, Blanche and Stella, as well as the impact of mental illness, and the misogyny that was a mainstay of the era.
