Coming soon to the Rondo Theatre:
Bullshot Crummond
By Ron House, Diz White, Alan Shearman, Derek Cunningham & John Neville-Andrews
Wednesday 17th - Saturday 20th June 2026
at the Rondo Theatre, St. Saviours Road, Bath, BA1 6RT
The evil Otto Van Brunno and the dastardly Lenya are up to no good. Having kidnapped a Professor for their nefarious purposes, it’s up to the dashing Bullshot Crummond to save the day!
A riotous parody of 1930s adventure stories and stiff-upper-lip heroics, The Rondo Theatre Company presents Bullshot Crummond – a fast-paced, gloriously silly send-up of British pulp fiction. Expect moustaches, maniacal villains, damsels in distress, and a lot of quick changes — all delivered with a wink and a perfectly polished accent. Think Indiana Jones meets The 39 Steps meets Blackadder, but with even less sense and a lot more fun. Audience dressing up is encouraged!

This is the Rondo Theatre Company’s annual charity production, this year supporting Man Down UK - "a non-profit Community Interest Company dedicated to supporting men with mental health challenges."

Social play reading:
Callisto: A Queer Epic
by Hal Coase
Tuesday 9th June 2026, 6.30pm for a 7pm start
at the Rondo Theatre, St. Saviours Road, Bath, BA1 6RT
“Do we have time?” “We got all the time we ever needed.”Join the Rondo Theatre Company this June as we read Hal Coase’s ‘Callisto: A Queer Epic’ - a transtemporal tale of human connection that explores extraordinary love and the ties that bind us. From a secret wedding in 1680, to explorations of grief and liberty in the 20th century and a search for bliss in 2223, Callisto’s poignant stories take inspiration from real life events as well as a look into what the future might hold. Whether you’re bold and unapologetic like Arabella, shy and sweet like Alan or wide eyed in wonder like CAL - these love stories are sure to make you smile.First staged in 2016 with a cast that featured Emma D’Arcy, the show was developed by Arcola Theatre for an off West End run shortly after. The play has been staged since by University and community groups nationwide.
We’re excited to be presenting June’s social play reading in collaboration with Queer Bath as the play blends perfectly the thoughtful and playful sides of queer love, the ideal celebratory reading for pride!
All are welcome at our social play readings, where we'll read the play in full, script in hand. There will be breaks to top up teas, discuss the text and dream up staging and casting! There's no pressure to read if you don't want to but everyone will get the chance to regardless of age/ gender/ etc. If you think you might be late - come anyway! These events are very relaxed and we'd love for you to join us.
If you have any access needs / accommodations, don't hesitate to let us know and we'll do our best to support you.
